Motorcycle Route Planner

Plan your own motorcycle routes with our free interactive Route Planner. Drop stops on the map, tune each leg to the kind of road you want to ride, generate a round trip from a distance and a direction, and export the result as a GPX file for your GPS, phone or navigation app. No account is needed to start — nothing is asked of you until you want to save a route.

What the planner does

  • Segment-by-segment routing — The route is calculated as you add each stop, so distance and riding time build up leg by leg — there is no "calculate" button to press.
  • Road preferences per leg — Prefer scenic and twisty roads, or avoid motorways, toll roads and ferries, on any individual segment without changing the rest of the trip.
  • Round trips — Pick a start point, a distance and a rough direction and the planner drafts a loop you can then reshape.
  • Multi-day trips — Keep several routes open in one session, one per day, and switch between them.
  • GPX import and export — Bring in a track someone sent you, or export yours — including multi-route files.
  • Elevation profile, 3D terrain and map styles — See the climbs before you ride them and pick the map that reads best.
  • Share and save — Send a route to riding friends with a link, or sign in to keep it for later.
  • Weather along the way — Open the ride weather forecast centred on your route.

How to use it

  1. Search for a start point or click the map to place it.
  2. Add stops in order — each new stop routes the leg from the previous one straight away.
  3. Adjust any leg: drag it onto a better road, or change its road preference.
  4. Check the distance, time and elevation profile, then export the GPX or share the link.
