Welcome to Travel-Riders. By accessing or using our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Travel-Riders, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing this site.

2. Use License

Permission is granted to temporarily download one copy of the materials on Travel-Riders' website for personal, non-commercial transitory viewing only. This is the grant of a license, not a transfer of title, and under this license you may not:

  • modify or copy the materials;
  • use the materials for any commercial purpose, or for any public display (commercial or non-commercial);
  • attempt to decompile or reverse engineer any software contained on Travel-Riders' website;
  • remove any copyright or other proprietary notations from the materials; or
  • transfer the materials to another person or "mirror" the materials on any other server.

Exception for Operators: Notwithstanding the foregoing, authorized Tour Operators acting in accordance with the Seller/Operator Agreement are permitted to use the Service for commercial purposes as explicitly authorized in that agreement.

3. Tour Operators

Users operating as Tour Operators must adhere to the Seller/Operator Agreement. In the event of a conflict between these Terms of Service and the Seller/Operator Agreement, the Seller/Operator Agreement controls regarding commercial use of the Service.

Acceptance of these Terms of Service and the Seller/Operator Agreement is recorded at registration time and is required before any tour can be published on the platform.

4. Bookings and Payments

Tour bookings on Travel-Riders follow a two-payment model:

  • A 50% deposit is due at the time of booking, after the operator accepts the booking request.
  • The remaining balance is due before a configurable cutoff window prior to the tour start date, as set by each operator at onboarding.

A platform fee is deducted from the operator payout as agreed at onboarding. Cancellation and refund terms are set out in the Refund & Cancellation Policy.

5. Sensitive Traveler Data

To fulfil a booking, riders provide sensitive personal data (including passport details, medical information, and emergency contacts) to Travel-Riders, which shares this data with the relevant tour operator. Tour operators accessing this data through the platform act as data processors under GDPR and must comply with applicable data protection law. Operators may not use this data for any purpose other than operating the booked tour.

6. User Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate and complete information
  • Maintain the security of your account
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Respect the rights of other users

Author profile content. Approved Riders' Tales authors may publish a profile (display name, avatar, bio, country) and up to five links alongside their stories. By adding a link you confirm that it points to your own website, channel or profile, or to a site genuinely related to you and your riding. Profile links must not be used for advertising, affiliate or sponsored placements, or the promotion of unrelated commercial offers, and must not point to unlawful, misleading or harmful content. Profile links are published as ordinary, followable links and are visible to search engines. Travel-Riders may edit, disable or remove any profile content or link at its sole discretion and without notice, and may withdraw author access in case of misuse.

7. Limitation of Liability and Use-at-Your-Own-Risk

Travel-Riders provides GPX files and route suggestions "as is" without any warranties, express or implied. We make no warranty as to their safety, accuracy, completeness, or suitability for any particular purpose. Users assume all risk when following any route or using any GPX file provided through our service.

Motorcycle riding and adventure travel inherently involve significant risks, including but not limited to accidents, injury, death, property damage, and exposure to hazardous conditions. By using our route planning services, you acknowledge that you are solely responsible for:

  • Assessing the safety and suitability of any route for your skill level and vehicle
  • Checking current road conditions, weather, and local regulations
  • Ensuring your vehicle is properly maintained and equipped
  • Carrying appropriate safety gear and emergency supplies
  • Obtaining necessary permits, insurance, and documentation
  • Making informed decisions about whether to proceed with any route

Travel-Riders shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the service, including but not limited to personal injury, property damage, or any other losses arising from following routes or using GPX files provided through our platform.

8. Consumer Dispute Resolution

In accordance with Portuguese Law No. 144/2015 of 8 September and Regulation (EU) No. 524/2013, consumers may resort to an alternative consumer dispute resolution (RAL) entity to settle disputes arising from this Service. The competent entities are:
